Happy with my purchase but confused on sizings

I took a shot on what size is my size which seems to be the case with a lot of the different sizings on all your clothing. Fortunately, this time, I got lucky. That hasn't been the case each time but without trying something on with online shopping, it's a guessing game. Overall, I am pleased with this shirt and have had my eye on it for a while.

I bought this on sale, I love how I can use this as part of my outfits, as a jacket or shirt by itself. Mix and match. The quality seems good, though there is a peculiar odour to the product before the first wash. But overall happy knowing the quality will last me a long time.
