FALL FAMILY PHOTOS/ HOLIDAY OUTFITSFALL FAMILY PHOTOS/ HOLIDAY OUTFITS

The holidays are a time for family. Plain and simple. Whether it’s the family you’ve built full of friends, neighbors, classmates, and partners or the family you share genes with, the moments, traditions, laughter, and–let’s be real–the food you share with them matter more in these months than any other. In the spirit of that congeniality, we here at Levi’s® have found ourselves in a sharing mood. We’re sending holiday joy directly to you with a series of very special family photos featuring a handful of employees, their families, and of course a bunch of super festive Levi’s® jeans, tops, and accessories to wear around your living room or out’n’about this season. Plus, we touched base with each of them to talk all things winter fashion, family, and holiday. Season’s greetings.

Sky Yramategui

Who did you do the photoshoot with?
My older sister, Michelle, who also happens to work at Levi’s®!

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?
High-waisted baggy jeans and some platform boots paired with a thumb-holed turtleneck under a very oversized crewneck. If I’m extra cold, I’ll add a huge vest, trucker jacket, or puffer to comfortably fit over that and finish it off with a knit beanie. I always feel a lot like a Matryoshka doll in the winter, lol.

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?

My Red Tab™ Unisex Hoodie, or any Levi’s® hoodie for that matter! I simply never am without a Levi’s® sweatshirt, especially since it’s cold in San Francisco. I’ve not only been wearing it around the house with my sweats but also layering it up to go on walks or go to the park with my friends.

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?

On Christmas Eve, my dad always makes the dough for Christmas cookies using my late grandma’s recipe. My sister and I will make the homemade frosting, cut the dough into shapes, and catch up with our parents (while eating half the raw dough). We also spend Christmas Eve having dinner and exchanging gifts with our close family friends, so it’s really a treat to see everyone I love in one place for a couple weeks.

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?

I’m looking forward to reuniting (and eating!) with my extended family and grandma after over a year without holiday gatherings. We always do a buffet-style Vietnamese lunch where every family brings a homemade dish or two (my mom has 10 brothers and sisters, so it’s a lot of people…and food). A good amount of my friends from high school come back to the area around this time as well, so I’ll recruit some to join in the festivities.

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

Often, my dad and I had to get a tree super last minute since my family is never really that prepared for the holidays. We’d get to Home Depot right before it closes and have to select one of the last lopsided, crusty trees from the corner of the patch. Once we set it up, my mom would pull out our dusty collection of ornaments Michelle and I made or collected throughout the years. Even after arranging the ornaments and lights on the branches, it never looked that much better. But alas, having an ugly tree just reminds me of how much I cherish my family and our time together!

Moira Heaney

Who did you do the photoshoot with?

My boyfriend, Christian.

What are your go-to outfits for cold-weather?

I love turtlenecks – they are my go-to to wear on their own or layer with a crewneck or button-down. They have been ideal for staying warm and layering. I also love the cold for beanies – they keep you warm but also add some character to an outfit.

What’s one of your Levi’s® outfits for fall/winter?

My Levi’s® hoodie has been great for lighter days when I need something to throw on and go but also perfect for layering clothes – I’ll wear a turtleneck or long sleeve underneath a hoodie on the really cold days and top it off with a Trucker or puffer jacket. It’s been very versatile and also super cozy and to me – comfort is key!

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?

We are big on just sitting in the living room and talking. Catching up and reminiscing on memories. My favorite is also going to my boyfriend’s family’s house. They are Italian so there is always lots of amazing food.

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?

Really looking forward to spending time with friends and family. Love getting together and playing games and eating!

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

I always loved going to my grandma’s house for Christmas, I love her house. She has so many pictures on the walls of family and interesting trinkets. I was never bored at her house.

Jaye Campbell

Who did you do the photoshoot with?
My husband Andrew, my daughter Chloe and our dog Lucy

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?
Canadian winters are no joke so there is lots of layering. I often wear a Trucker jean jacket under my parka. And lots of scarves!

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?

My favorite jeans are 501® and this winter I’ll be pairing them with Red Tab™ Hoodies.

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?

One of our favorite traditions is having friends over to decorate gingerbread houses.

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?

Last year we were in lockdown over the holidays, so this year, spending time with family and friends will be even sweeter.

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

We always have a big family dinner on Christmas Eve and every year Santa makes an appearance on the roof. The look on the kids’ faces is magical.

Julie Huang

Who did you do the photoshoot with?
My mom (we call her Momma Li) and my niece, Bria (who happens to be a Tailor at one of our Levi’s® stores). [Fun fact: She made the denim flowers that we included on some of the jackets we were wearing in our photos.]

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?
1. An oversized jacket so that you can layer as much as you want underneath, depending on the weather. 2. A really good pair of boots that can match anything. 3. Some cold-weather accessories like beanies or scarves.

Julie is wearing the RETRO COLLAR SHERPA JACKET and mom is wearing EX-BOYFRIEND SHERPA TRUCKER JACKET

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?

TBH, it depends on the day and my mood - If I’m out and about and need something comfortable but a little more dressed up to wear, I’d say my vintage men’s Levi’s® chinos are my go-to. On a day at home or with family, the Levi’s® Red Tab™ Sweats are a MUST. Can’t go wrong with a sweats set (so cozy!).

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?

Honestly, we just like to get together and eat some good food. Our holiday dinner spread is usually potluck so we really get a mix of everything (fried rice, hotpot, honey glazed ham, some dim sum options).

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?

Hopefully being able to spend some time together this holiday again and seeing each other in person!

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

My mom, Bria and I would usually gather together and eat some homemade food while playing holiday movies in the background.

Alika Niravong

Who did you do the photoshoot with?
I did my photoshoot with my brother, Tiger, and our long-time family friends, Dena, Matthew, and Christopher. Although we're not biologically related, I consider them my family and refer to them as my cousins because we've known each other our entire lives. Our parents were friends since they were teenagers so we all grew up together. Like other families, we spend every holiday, birthday, and any other special occasion with each other.

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?
I get cold easily so every winter I’m always bundled up in layers. My go-to pieces are comfy knit sweaters under a warm coat or jacket.

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?

My Levi's® staples for fall would either be my Corduroy Utility Shirt or Corduroy Ribcage Straight jeans. I like wearing corduroy in the fall because the fabric is heavier and keeps me warm.

On the colder, winter days, I would reach for my Ex-Boyfriend Sherpa Trucker Jacket. It's an oversized fit that is perfect for layering over a sweater.

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?
My mom loves to go all out with Christmas decorations around the house. We like to have a new theme every year so we have tons of decorations in different colors. Last year we had an all-white and gold theme! We have so much fun decorating together and I’m excited to plan this year’s theme. Every year my family also likes to get together for dinner and do a gift exchange. We usually have an amazing spread of food and after dinner, we’d open our gifts!

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?
I’m looking forward to getting together with my family and eating great food! We didn’t celebrate the holidays together last year and we don’t see each other that often so it’ll be nice to reconnect and spend time with everyone.

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

Some of my favorite holiday memories from when we were younger were waiting until midnight on Christmas Eve to open our presents and sleeping over at each other’s houses so we could stay up and watch movies and play board games.

Elise Nest

Who did you do the photoshoot with?

My husband, Kevin, daughter, Etta, and dog, Bernie

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?

Chunky sweaters & scarves. Anything oversized - the bigger, the better.

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?

Sherpa Truckers and an oversized wool coat from last season.

Elise and family wearing EX-BOYFRIEND TRUCKER JACKET, TRUCKER JACKET, TODDLER GIRLS 2T-4T TRUCKER JACKET, and PAISLEY BANDANA

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?
We love picking out a tree and decorating, watching Home Alone and sending holiday cards.

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?

Getting to experience Christmas all over through Etta's eyes! Last year she was just two months old so I am excited for her to be more involved this year.

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?

Growing up, Christmas was always a huge holiday at my grandparents’ house. Our family would get together with traditional Italian food, family recipes, and lots of gifts. I have a large extended family and it was always a lot of fun.

Casey Watson

Who did you do the photoshoot with?

My parents and our dog Ike! We’ve never sent out a Christmas card … but this just may be our first!

What are your go-to pieces for cold-weather dressing?

I’ve always been about keeping everything pretty basic as my base layer and then mixing in boots and layers, all topped with a killer coat. I lived in New York for so long that I think the concept of layering, especially in winter has always stuck with me.

Casey and family wearing 70'S HIGH RISE SLIM STRAIGHT WOMEN'S JEANS and CROPPED LOOSE WINTER SHERPA SLEEVE TRUCKER JACKET,

What’s one of your Levi’s® staples for this fall/winter?
Our newer Sherpa styles and cuts are such a great addition to our classic style. I’m obsessing over our Retro Collar Fit and Cropped Loose Winter Sherpa. My mum has never found a Sherpa she’s loved the fit of, until these two!

What are some family traditions that you and your family like to do around the holidays?

Thanksgiving in Montecito and Christmas in LA. There are a ton of cousins so the holidays are one of the few times of the year we are all together. Plus I love the meshing of all generations around the holidays – there is nothing quite as special as hearing everyone’s updates and stories from the past and the present.

What are you looking forward to the most during this holiday season?
Having a big Thanksgiving. Last year was the first year we weren’t all together due to the pandemic, so this year we will all be reunited in Montecito, to kick off the holidays.

What are some of your favorite holiday memories?
Honestly, just being together and that holiday cheer. Whether it’s dinner parties with family or cocktails with friends, the holidays seem to be that special time of year that everyone makes the effort to see loved ones!
