BARBIE FERREIRA: My first memory of a 501 jean was the cooler, older teenagers wearing them and having the high-waisted/slouchy look, because I grew up in New York so the vibe was very casual.
I liked the 501 jean because it feels like real denim. I feel like sometimes denim can look a little, either stretchy or fits weird. It just feels like a classic denim, which is my favorite.
I buy a lot of men's vintage jeans and then I wear either a belt or I get them tailored or I get a really slouchy look. I love really big pants. That's my favorite thing to wear. I'm always either online looking for it or on eBay trying to find the vintage Levi's. I'm always trying to find the cool, big pants that I like.
